Full disclosure: I still completely enjoy buying clothes for my girls whether it’s Stella, Zara or some weird brand from Denmark. Still fun! But my friend, Jewels, whose daughter is twelve-going-on twenty tells me that the tween market is practically non-existent (and as a former fashion stylist/current power agent, she knows!) After we tossed a Goop post back and forth, we homed in on the jewel of the piece; Rockets of Awesome, a subscription service that sends you a curated box of normally-priced clothes that reflects your kid’s interests, style and personality. Keep what you want, send the rest back. And while I’m not in that wide open tween space (yet) I thought I’d give it a go for my almost nine year old, seeing that she’s been giving most of my recent purchases the “deny” stamp. And she should…A girl needs to develop her own taste in bomber jackets and oversized shades at some point in her life.
