Balmy Days

Balmy Days

My youngest daughter was gifted those Bonnie Bell Lipsmackers from 1983 and has taken to smearing her entire face with the grape flavor (I believe she already ate the watermelon.) But as of late, I’ve been quietly switching her over to Glossier’s Balm Dotcom, because now there are new yummy smelling, but also tinted cherry and rose shades that will give the illusion of a lipsmacker without her having to ingest all 34 ingredients (just counted) that are jam-packed into that fun filled tube of love. And hell, noone loves the 80’s more than me (I know every song. Every time.), but I can do without the decade’s extravagance, if you will. So now when I look in the backseat and Cleo is smearing cherry or rose balm on those little lippies, I don’t really care how long it takes for her to eat those four ingredients.
