Cover Up

A few days ago while I was at a red light, some teenagers caught me doing a very energetic dance show to Montell Jordan. And then yesterday I kicked off a professional meeting by talking incessantly about ISIS. Why. Why do I embarrass myself in these ways? And that was just this week. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you will know that I have a sick obsession with good throws. I can’t stop acquiring them.  Some are gorgeous but have a rough texture, some are cozy but are the wrong color scheme. There’s a stripey Peruvian number and I believe that my Turkish suzani should count, too. This hand woven piece in beautiful, muted shades is made with French ecological merino wool and is part of a larger social project that was started in Spain. Toss it at the foot of the bed, on the couch, or layer it on at night. I believe you can never have too many blankets. Especially if you’re the type that feels like you have to constantly crawl under one.
